Our annual Xavier High School Year 7 Camp is fast approaching. We depart for Harrietville at 7am sharp next Wednesday, 20th February, and return to school by 3:00pm on Friday, 22nd February, 2019. The aim of the Year 7 camp is for students to experience a sense of belonging to our Xavier High School faith community and to build strong, respectful relationships with their peers. The camp will also allow students time to get to know one another through various structured activities and give students the opportunity to develop team building and leadership skills based on our 5 C’s (Courageous, Challenged, Collaborative, Compassionate and Christ-like).
As a Catholic faith community, it is expected that all students attend this compulsory experience as part of their initiation into the Xavier High School community. If this poses any concerns please contact the school and a meeting will be arranged. We look forward to seeing all students on camp and being part of this very important and exciting experience.
ACTIVITIES: Students will be organised into groups of approximately 12 and rotate through activities which include some low level physical challenges and using the Chalet’s indoor swimming pool and other facilities.
